This review is comparing it to other Fast Food Restaurants I love the concept, modern clean restaurant serving Brazilian fast food. I have tried Giraffas several times since its close to my house, but I have to say - the food needs much improvement. The steaks are poor quality, fatty, inconsistent cuts and don't taste fresh, every time I have tried the brown rice it's bland and under-cooked so its hard and a chewy. The side salad that comes with it is very generic, lettuce, onions and tomato, the Chimichurri sauce that is served is really bad, I rather not even put it on the food, the quinoa pilaf and the beans are very bland. It's not terrible, the restaurant is so nice I feel that it has much potential since they have a great concept and a good menu, but they need to improve the food quality.

Sadly, this place is closed. I just ate here about a week and a half ago, and was hoping to do so again today, but the lights are off, the furniture is all stacked up, and the door is locked. vaya con Dios, giraffas

Today's outing was very disappointing everything was cold and tasted reheated although the manager told me my stake was prepared to order. I have my doubts about that here is why. From the time I placed my order to me getting my food all at room temperature took all of 4 minutes which means (1) a steak was cooked to medium well (2) it was plated (3) all of the sides where plated (4) it was served (5) everything cooled off to room temperature all within 4 minutes. Or would it just be easier to accept the fact that my steak was precooked since its pretty hard to cooked a steak to medium well and it to cool off completely all in 4 minutes.

Extremely bad service, we have to reorder the burger because it didn't have the ingredients did we have asked for several times. Uncooked chicken breast . Won't recommend

First time. Favorable impression for lunch. Three of us. Yelp check in netted free desert. Order at the counter and food is delivered to your table. Not the typical Brazilian buffet by the pound that I have previously experienced at other places. My grilled chicken cutlet was moist and tender. Grilled vege side was average. quinoa salad had too much onion but was tasty. Place was clean and bright.

Having spent considerable time in Brazil and having traveled throughout the country, I probably expected something more nationally or at least regionally typical other than a cut of meat or a few adorning spices. Though I've seen a number of Giraffas in Brazil I never ventured into any of them, sort of looking upon them as some type of modified international one size fits all chain akin to a Burger King. The closest menu item I found that appeared more distinctively authentic, though more regional State of Bahia, Brazilian, was their "Sauteed Shrimp Moqueca," which I must say found to have the same good taste, flavor and texture I've had in Brazil. There are some other good things I liked about Giraffas. It's not only spotlessly clean but also fresh, modern and clean looking in design along with an innovative GPS type seating/serving system. After you order your food from the counter, you're handed a little electronic device that pin points your location for the server so that when your food is ready, it is directly brought to your table. As for the counter and wait staff, you couldn't ask for a friendlier, more professional as well as efficient number of people. It's clearly a restaurant in which everybody knows what they are doing and do it well. Then, and something I couldn't help but love. Not only is Giraffas Yelp friendly with "Yelp" symbols noted on the bottom of their table setting tags but also when you do your Yelp Check-in, up pops a freebie one per customer "Brazilian Guave Cheesecake" coupon which I used and a nice little treat I thoroughly enjoy. It's a fast food cshain and though I would be hard put to give any fast food chain more than Three Stars in approval, this one stands out as being significantly better than any of its American competition such as Burger King, KFC, McDonalds or the like, I'm going Four Stars for it on that basis.

I ordered filet mignon beef stroganoff. FUN FACT - Filet mignon doesn't have gristle. Like anatomically. Benefit of the doubt, they ran out of filet mignon and instead of 86ing it, they just cut up the meat they use for the 10oz 'contra' steak. But I'm way too jaded to think that. The line cook sported a sh-t eating grin when he overheard me double checking what kind of meat it was.. Tricking your customers into paying 15 bucks for 2oz of shoulder cut? I'm sick of this stuff. The diners that sell pounded pork loin as veal schnitzel, the hotels that use shaved black olive for the truffle on a $25 eggs beney.. Frankly, I think there's a special place in Hell reserved for restaurants that pull this kind of schtick. Edit: I messaged the mgr. that contacted me a few months ago, never got a response.

Great place to eat if you're on a time budget. Definitely beats fast food joints. Huge fan of their quinoa salad with grilled shrimp. Quick service and friendly attitude.

Thx to my only yelp friend Marqus R. who recommended this place we went out of our way into Pompano to give it a try. I was expecting a Burger King type of a joint but found a cute trendy looking place with multi colours. Service was excellent, everyone very polite. And food was delivered very fast. I had the chicken sandwich where most times I am disappointed but was very surprised as it was moist and very tasty. My mom had the shrimps and I gave a little taste and really enjoyed that too. My wife the steak and kids had the built your own burger. Everyone was very happy with the food. Thx to Marqus who exlpained to me about the Check-in I got myself a free cheese pie. I was also told they will be opening one in Lauderdale too which is great for me. As I will be back.

A def must try...I always order the single burger with the chipotle mayo no bun and fries extra crispy...tje flavors are delish and juicy...a little pricey for a burger and fries but taste is worth it.

This is the second time I eat at Giraffas at this particular location but third time at the chain. I must say I really do enjoy their food. Very clean and neat looking restaurant. The staff is very attentive. I enjoyed my meal. The beans were great as usual! I had the chicken and it was very good. The sauces they make are awesome! My bf had salmon and he had quinoa. I absolutely wanted to eat all his Quinoa! It was delicious! I am still trying to figure out what gave it that hint of sweet maybe coconut? I will be back!

This is a new location by us so we decided to try it out. Ordered our steaks medium rare and they came back way overdone. Second attempt was worse than the first. Food was bland and overall not a good experience. Because they just opened I'll give it a pass but so far we won't be coming back. Just plain awful.
(1)Mario L.
Food was pricey and wasn't all that good. kids orders did not come with drinks and had to order fries separately. atmosphere was nice but I would not make another trip here, not worth it at all.
(2)Laura M.
Quality food and excellent service. So happy to have a Giraffas in the neighborhood!

Unlike any *fast food* we've ever had. Could easily compete with far fancier restaurants. My son got a burger he said was insanely good. My mom ordered the shrimp, and is taking some of the brown rice home. With my steak I had grilled vegetables and a salad w/ real Dijon dressing. From our Yelp check in we received a free lime cake w/ caramel ice cream. This was a great meal enjoyed by everyone. We'll be back & look forward to the new store in Turtle Run (Coral Springs) later in February.

Visited for dinner on 1/2. The place was bright, open, and styled for South Beach. The dining room was empty apart from the staff. Gal at counter came out to greet us and introduce us to their menu. We ordered burgers and fries, which were cooked to the requested temperatures (medium, and medium-rare), assembled nicely, and promptly delivered to our table. Drinks are self-serve, but we were offered refills by all three staff members that stopped to check on us. This place has a lot going for it: excellent service, delicious food, beautiful dining room, good location, reasonable prices. Paid about $11 (per person) for fountain drink, fries, and burger with bacon and gouda.

I'm a true Brazilian - I was very exited to go to Giraffa's, a well-known "fast-food" chain in Brazil, my bithplace! The place/decor was very nice!! I felt pleased - The menu choices were awesome!! Very nice - I ordered the dish with my mouth watering :) - I choose 10oz picanha steak (It have an option for 5oz, but I wanted to share with my kids) with rice and beans, grilled veggies - My Husband ordered grilled tilapia. I was disappointing - My picanha steak was clearly not cooked fresh - It was warm, not hot - tasted like it was microwaved - rice/beans and veggies same... warm, close to cold - My husband's tilapia was very blend, and warm too. The side dishes was very small, my steak was small also... we spent $30 in 2 dishes/ 1 drink, on a place that you order and sit like in any fast food restaurant Any other Brazilian restaurant, we would spent this amount with real sizzling picanha coming to the table. I might coming back, but to try their famous Brazilian style burger - Not for picanha, or other dish-alike.

I love this place. Came here on a Friday night and I had a great experience. I ordered the single piranha burger w/fries and my friend had the steak. We also tried the chicken ribs which were a must eat again item. The food was fresh and hot. Everything was cooked to perfection. The cashier was very helpful and everyone was very kind to us. I will highly recommend this place if you want a higher fast food dining experience. It was nice and quiet and very clean.

I've been to this chain restaurant's other locations and the food is wonderful, great atmosphere and outstanding staff... However, I took the family to this Pompano Beach location and it was a TERRIBLE experience. The staff gave out food to another table and blamed the layout of the restaurant instead of himself. He was rude to his manager and when I told him he gave our food to another table he gave me an attitude and said I was wrong. Finally after waiting for our food to be prepared again and brought to us it was TERRIBLE. I order a 10oz steak cooked medium, I recv'd a 5oz steak and it was prepared rare on the edges and it WAS RAW in the middle. Yes I recv'd a refund but the experience was TERRIBLE. Good luck if you go to this restaurant.

super surprised at the diverse flavor profile. welcome addition to the neighborhood. chicken ribs were perfectly spiced, paired with a flavorful Chipotle dip. my son and daughter each had the picanha burger, his loaded, hers pretty plain. both delicious. redeemed the yelp coupon for dessert and the kids and I both delighted in the freshness and flavors. great chocolate molten cakes with sides of ice cream. yum. we will be back and often

I just happened to pass by the Lowe's hardware store and saw the new Giraffas sign and noticed this new restaurant. I was hungry and thought why not have a "burger". This is NOT your typical burger joint! This place has a variety of selections that will make you salivate. The Brutus [5 oz Picanha - meat- burger] is simply DELICIOUS!! Service was great. The ambiance and the decor is very appealing. I highly recommend this place! Even for just a coffee and the cheese bread pieces when I am short on time - I will be back! Thanks Giraffas!
